Medical Assistant--Bridge Program
Our Bridge Program is an advanced pathway designed for exceptional Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) committed to furthering their careers in the medical field. This program caters specifically to those with a minimum of three years of exemplary service, showcasing outstanding work records, communication skills, and documentation efforts.
Program Overview: Our curriculum spans 8 to 10 weeks, featuring intensive skills coaching sessions alongside a comprehensive refresher in medical terminology and fundamental theoretical knowledge. The exact duration is tailored based on an initial evaluation of each candidate’s competencies and professional experience.
Curriculum Highlights – Bessemer Location: Participants will gain hands-on experience in:
- Clinical skills, including patient examination preparation, triage, and phlebotomy.
- Performing injections, assisting physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Conducting routine lab procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Medication administration, ECGs, and pediatric assessments.
- Medical record management, telephone etiquette, and professional correspondence.
Certifications: Upon successful completion of the program, including all sessions, theoretical components, and fee settlements, graduates will be awarded a Medical Assistant Diploma and gain certifications in:
- AAH Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens
- HIPAA
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR

Admission and Course Schedule
In order to be considered for admission prospective students must submit the following:
- 18 Years of Age or Older
- High School Diploma, GED, or International High School Diploma Equivalency
- A photo ID
- Complete course registration
- Start date:Â Revolving
- Duration:Â 8 – 10 Weeks
- Level:Â CNA or PCT with 3+ Years Solid Basic Medical Experience and Basic Knowledge
- Location:Â On-site for Skills, and Hybrid for Course Work
Fees
The following is the break-down for tuition and fees for the Clinical Medical—Bridge program:
- Deposit Fee: $500– The deposit can be broken down, in payments, $300 due before or on the first week of class. The Second part of deposit, is due 2/3 weeks after start $200
- Total: $950.00

Course Credits
Credits earned in Elightenment-Alabama programs may transfer to some, but not all, learning institutions. Students who plan to continue their education with another should check with that school regarding credit transfer policies. No form of accreditation guarantees that any learning institution will accept credits from any school as transfer credits.
